“Made in California 2018” / Brea Art Gallery

The 33rd Annual Made in California exhibition was on view from April 21 to June 15, 2018. Even after 33 years, this annual exhibition was anything but traditional. Each spring the Brea Gallery invites contemporary artists with diverse skills, varying approaches, and unique ideas to help us paint a picture of what it means to be creative in California. This year’s show was made up of nearly ninety bold, provocative, inspiring, and just plain beautiful works of art. With everything from intricate pencil drawings, to powerful abstract portraits, to whimsical sculptures, and stunning photography, this exhibit had a bit of something for everyone.
