Extended coverage of the Frieze Los Angeles
from February 17 - 20, 2022 at 9900 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills.
Frieze Los Angeles largely focuses on contemporary art and celebrates the exceptionally dynamic culture of Los Angeles and its global contributions to the visual arts.
Following two sold-out editions, the fair returned on February 17-20, 2022 in a new location in the heart of Beverly Hills. Situated at 9900 Wilshire Boulevard, adjacent to the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the new location occupies a prime position between the Hammer Museum and the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. The fair was hosted in a bespoke structure designed by WHY Architecture’s Creative Director, Kulapat Yantrasast, and Landscape Director, Mark Thomann.
Bringing together over 100 of the most significant galleries from LA and around the world, the fair experience was accompanied by Frieze Week events across the city. This year, Focus LA, the section of the fair dedicated to galleries aged 15 years or younger was curated by Amanda Hunt (Director of Public Programs & Creative Practice, Lucas Museum of Narrative Art) and featured 11 of the city’s defining young galleries.
