Gabrielle Anderman was raised in California and currently lives and works in Maui, Hawaii. She graduated with highest honors from UCLA’s School of the Arts and spent a year abroad studying painting at the Beaux Arts in France. Her work has been exhibited throughout Hawaii and the West Coast where she recently had a solo show at SFMOMA’s Artist’s Gallery. She is represented in private and corporate collections throughout the United States. Anderman works with acrylics, oil stick, charcoal and colored pencil on heavyweight etching paper and canvas and has developed a distinct style that flows between figuration and abstraction.
